Years later….

Narvi was in the woods near his home, he loved being there, peace, nature, wildlife…and it was a perfect place to practice some tricks, if he failed it would not hurt anyone or cause chaos. He had begun to learn tricks and spells 3 years ago, but had not learned as much as he wanted, he was disappointed with himself and was afraid of disappointing his father for not being as good as he.

He began to concentrate, wanted to turn the branch of a tree on a snake. The branch started shaking and acquired a red tone but it broke suddenly.

How many times we have to tell you it’s dangerous to be in the woods?”

He turned quickly and found his father standing before him, with a straight face.

“I’m sorry…”

“I don’t believe you, you’re such a good liar” Both laughed. They were so much alike, in many ways. What were you doing?”

“I was practicing” He said looking at his hands.

Loki had already noticed his son’s insecurity about their abilities. He could almost see himself in the eyes of his son. When he was a kid, he had practiced for hours, just to feel the satisfaction of ruining Thor’s plans or to get the attention of a girl with green eyes.

“Narvi, i know this is important for you, you love magic and you want to be able to do all the spells that exist but do not be impatient, learn magic takes time, all that is important in life takes time

But Narvi shook his head.

“I’ll never be good in magic, Father, look at me, I can only do simple tricks…” He sighedDo you think I will ever be as good as you?”

“Why do you think i want you to be like me?” Loki frowned “You want to be like me? Why?”

“Because…you’re strong and powerful. I want to protect mother as you do and I-“

My son” Loki interrupted him and then, sighed with a sad gaze “I think this is the wisest advice I can give you, do not be like me…”

Narvi looked at him surprised by his words, he was too young to understand but someday he would.

Let’s go home”
